General Information:

  Rules of the game:

It is responsibly the responsibility of each player to know and abide by the rules.

  Alcoholic beverages:

No alcoholic beverages may be consumed in the playing area. Alcoholic beverages must be consumed in designated areas only (Indoor: Maxx Play party Rooms or Lounge: Outdoor: Maxx Play Patio Area) A Maxx Play employee has the authority to eject players found to be drinking during the game or found to be consuming alcoholic beverages outside designated areas.

  Smoking:

It is forbidden to smoke while on the courts.

  Team Uniforms:

Optional, sponsored shirts are encouraged.

  Office hours:

Office is open on game days during open season, 4pm to 11pm. (Mon, Wed, Fri during the indoor season; Mon thru Thurs during the Summer Sand Volleyball Season)

  League Director/Manager:

Has final say on all decisions.

  Injuries:

It is the responsibility of all team managers and league managers to fill an injury report on all players and/or spectators injured during the course of their match on the back of the score sheet. Any injured player bleeding will be removed from the game until cuts are cleaned and properly bandaged.

  Rulebook:

Official Volleyball Rulebook as amended by Michigan Volleyball Organizations Rule and Regulations.

  Liability:

MAXXPLAY SPORTS AND ENTERTAMENT CENTER is not responsible for injuries suffered by players. We reserve the right to remove any person(s) from the entire premises for disorderly conduct. 

  Waiver:

Waivers must be signed by the first game. If not, the player is ineligible. Playing of an ineligible non-rostered player is cause to forfeit. Any forgery forfeits the match.

  Rain-Out:

Rain out games will be rescheduled for the last Wednesday or Thursday in the season and will be played indoors. Rain-out number 586-731-5006 Ext 501 or http:/www.michiganvolleyball1.com/

  Score Sheets:

The home team manager will pick up score sheet for each game at the service counter (Fall, Winter and Spring located just inside the south entrance to the arena: Summer I and II located just past the main entrance located at the east entrance facing Van Dyke Ave) and return at the end of game. The home team is responsible for keeping score. Visiting team should verify score sheets. FIRST AND LAST NAMES SHOULD BE PRINTED LEGIBLY ON OFFICALS SCORE SHEET. Inaccurate information may weigh heavily against the offending in the event of protest. COMPLETE INFORMATION IS A MUST.

  Game fee:

No game fee is required!

  Team Forfeit:

A team forfeits due to lack of players or illegal players.

  League awards:

Trophies are awarded for overall league champion: 4x4 Team Trophy and 6x6 Team Trophy will be awarded. Gift Certificates of $180.00 for league champions will be awarded and $90 for league runner-up will be awarded.

  ROSTERS:

  Roster:

Rosters must be filled out at the service counter before the schedule starting time of the first teams league match. NAME, ADDRESS, AND PHONE NUMBER MUST BE PRINTED LEGIBLY.

Team manager must carry team’s copy of the roster to all games. All players must have state issued ID to prove their identities. In case of protest of illegal players, players must produce identification or team will forfeit.

  Roster inspection:

Manager can request to inspect roster if a specific player is considered illegal. This must be done prior to the scheduled starting time ONLY. If the player is non-rostered player, then HE/SHE must refuse to let that player participate. No penalty imposed.

  League Official roster inspection:

Inspection may be done randomly during a game to inspect for non-rostered players. Finding non-rostered players, forfeits the game.

  Ringer Rule:

Every player used in playoffs must have played at least three matches prior to playoffs. If three matches have not been played, player is considered illegal and game is forfeited.

  Adding players:

The deadline for adding players to a team roster is third played match. No person will be permitted to sign a roster after this time. Exceptions may be made due to illness or hardship, subject to the league director/manager.

  Non-rostered:

If a player not on a roster plays in a game, team forfeits that match.
